Jocotepec Plaza

I’ve had a bit of personal tragedy in my life within the past couple of days, about which I may write. But in the interim, I thought that you might enjoy this video from my blogger acquaintance, Sid Grosvenor.  It’s a look at what it’s like at the Joco plaza.

He has pretty much gotten things right about Joco.  The only thing that he says that’s not quite right is that the bulk of gringos live in the “northern section” of Joco.  Actually, the bulk of gringos in Joco “county” or municipality live in the northern part of the pueblo of San Juan Cosala in a gated community called the Racquet Club, or in the community of El Chante next to the lake.

But he does a nice job of shooting around the Joco plaza and gives you a good feel for what it’s like.  Enjoy!   And be sure to watch the video!!

About Barbara

in april of 2008, i moved from the united states to mexico. during my working days, i held lots and lots of jobs....almost all chosen because they were fun or interesting instead of how much they paid. when i started thinking about retirement (in my 40s), i realized that i would never be able to retire to a country where english was the native language. and although i had traveled to every state in the US -- and lived in lots of them -- i had never been outside the country with the exception of canada and mexico. and since you now know that i could never afford to retire in canada (even to the french-speaking area), mexico won by default.
